Today, there is practically no single certification system for both UAVs themselves and training courses for the training of operators and maintenance personnel.

Active development of the unmanned aircraft market should be accompanied by the training of qualified personnel for its operation. Now flights are carried out either by employees of the developing companies, or by operators who have completed brief training courses on the use of a specific type of small unmanned aerial vehicles with take-off weights up to 30 kg, within the programs that do not include the study of the Federal Aviation Rules. Professional standards for the UAS operation specialists are still under development and discussion.

FIXAR education system

The educational direction of FIXAR solves the urgent problem of the lack of a methodological basis in this area. Unique methods developed by us are suitable for preschool, school-age children and students, separate programs are created for specialists in the fields of commercial use of drones: agriculture, surveying, cartography, monitoring of linear facilities, commercial surveys, for athletes: everything you need for drone racing; circles, sections and institutions of further education. Also, additional methods of training and retraining of teachers can be provided.

Each module of methods includes 3 main stages:

  • theoretical training (in-class training)
  • practical exercises, including assembly, configuration, working with software, as well as developing basic piloting skills (in-class training)
  • field practical exercises with full-fledged flight tasks

The peculiarity of the methods is a large number of hours of practice aimed at acquiring skills for operating the UAS.

The basis of the educational direction of FIXAR is a training complex with a drone-designer of a unique aerodynamic scheme that combines the characteristics of both an airplane and a quadcopter, FIXAR EDU. The device is a small copy of the flagship company – FIXAR industrial drone. Thanks to its aerodynamic design, it is possible to teach children not only the assembly, structure, principle of operation of a stable multi-rotor apparatus (quadcopter), but also the aerodynamics of the lift force of the wing and, in general, the aircraft theme with all its nuances and features. The supporting structure, the electronics module, the wings and the stabilizer are made of 3D-printed plastic, which allows you to combine this training and methodological course with a course on 3D modeling. The complex also contains 10 lessons on the basis of the apparatus, including the theory of drones, studying the design of drones, Russian legislation, training in piloting various aerodynamic schemes in the simulator, indoors and outdoors.
